Creativity Is a Gift From God
God’s hand in creation and his written word to us, the Bible, demonstrates His beauty and creativity. Christian Academy students have a variety of opportunities to be engaged artistically from Kindergarten through High School; and we are excited to watch the programs grow and expand each year. Students are encouraged to develop their musical talents and gifts through music classes, choral ensembles, and band. The visual and dramatic arts are developed as well at all grade levels. School plays, concerts, and artwork hanging in our hallways provide opportunities to showcase the talents that we are proud of in our students.

Children’s Honor Choir  Participants
Over the summer , thirteen singers from elementary and middle school were chosen to be a part of 49 singers who formed an Honor Choir of Indiana Choral Directors’ Association at University of Indianapolis.

After preparing for the joint rehearsal on their own and with Mrs. Maria Smith of CAI, the singers went through two days of intense rehearsals to give the final concert at Ruth Lilly Performance Hall in front of Indiana Choral Directors, families, and friends.  They worked on every aspect of choral singing, expressions, musicianship, and performance practice.  They worked very hard and were rewarded with beautiful unified voices that told stories through music.  They not only enjoyed making music together and grew as musicians, but made friends with the singers from all over the state of Indiana and were the great representatives for CAI and a light for Jesus during those two days.

The singers who represented CAI were 5th graders Sidney Briles, Mackenzie Glover, and Stephen Ramsey; 6th graders Abbey Butler, Sami Jo Davis, Alec Heitz, Blake Lewis, Christina Lester, Madi Purvis, and Carley Shuff; 7th grader Seth Delbridge; 8th grader Adaline Heitz; and 9th grader Kimberlyn Mackenzie.
