Philosophy
Early childhood is critical time in the development of a child's perceptions of self, others, the world, and God. The goal of the Christian Academy Preschool curriculum is to stimulate the child's physical, mental, emotional and social development while maintaining a strong spiritual emphasis.
The philosophy behind our curriculum is that young children learn best by doing, that play is their "work". Learning is not just repeating what someone else says; it requires active thinking and experimenting to find out how things work firsthand in the world in which we live. It is the desire of our hearts, our GOAL, to do all this in a loving Christian atmosphere.
Curriculum
Our curriculum is "Scripture Bites" for children 3 years through 5 years. A balance of child-initiated and teacher-directed activities helps to prepare children for future academic growth and development.
Reading to children enhances language development and will be part of each day. Introducing the alphabet and number concepts prepares them for later formal academics.
Music is another component of the children's curriculum. Music provides each child with an opportunity for expression and is another enrichment activities incorporated into his or her routine on a daily basis.
